Sage Wins Platinum and Gold MarCom Awards
The MarCom awards are given annually for outstanding marketing and communications achievements
MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sage Communications (Sage) announces the company has been awarded two MarCom Awards for outstanding nonprofit marketing campaigns, recognizing the innovation and creativity that Sage brings to the industry.
Out of more than 6,000 entries, the MarCom awards honored two pieces of Sage’s work, highlighting the company’s drive to break through the noise of the typical nonprofit marketing space.
“Sage prides itself on taking an edgy approach to all campaigns,” said David Gorodetski, co-founder, COO and executive creative director at Sage. “The D.C. market is rife with nonprofit and arts organizations that are doing amazing work in the community – our job is to help facilitate their missions by creatively raising their profile in this space.”
Sage won the MarCom Platinum Award for a six-piece direct mail campaign for Merkle Response Management Group. The firm created the “Grow With Us” campaign based on the similarities between cultivating plants and cultivating donor engagement and retention.
The direct mail pieces consisted of seeds, a watering can, a bulb/vase, gardening gloves, a terrarium and a travel voucher to visit Merkle RMG’s “greenhouse.” When brought together, they conveyed the plant/donor lifecycle connection.
Sage was also given the MarCom Gold Award for their work on S&R Foundation’s 2016 Annual Report. The agency displayed vital information in an intriguing way by turning it into an adult coloring book.
By putting a modern twist on a boardroom staple, Sage created something captivating and memorable, Affixed to the cover was a pack of colored pencils and a quote to draw the reader in. The interior spreads were filled with fun illustrations and thought-provoking writing prompts related to S&R's core values.
Both of these award-winning projects exemplify Sage’s extraordinary work in nonprofit marketing and how the team at Sage is an innovator of marketing solutions in the nonprofit industry.
